September 24-26 was a great weekend for a truck show! There was no humidity and no chance of rain and for September the temperature was actually cool, not as cool as the trucks that had assembled for this show. Wow, what a turnout for this show.
Scott Diller of Lanita Specialized named the 2018 Kenworth W900L and 2018 Mac trailer you see here “Last Hurrah”. The reason for that name is because this will be the last big build Scott plans on doing.
As time goes by and modernization takes place all good things must come to an end. New upgrades in designs, styling, comfort and technology take the place of the luxuries we’ve already become accustomed to. After a 21 year run beginning in 1959 the Peterbilt 352 was ready to be phased out with the 1980 model year. Replacing the 352, 282 and 352H will be the newly designed and innovative 1981 Peterbilt 362.

Michael Taylor gets the honor of driving this large 2019 Peterbilt 389 glider for LVT. Michael has worked for LVT for 19 years and this is his second big ride they have allowed him to build and drive.
So this 1999 379 has a personality as big as the owner and a lot of little trick things you have to really stand and take notice to even see. Of course there’s the big stuff you see rite away like the 359 dash from 4-states and the Hogebuilt fenders but its all the little trick stuff that I enjoy, like airplane lights used for the dome lights and so much more!
