November, 2020 cover.
Welcome to the November, 2020 edition of LargeCarMag Online!
Cody Jaeschke of Fort Dodge Iowa owns this beautiful 2017 Peterbilt 389. I had the pleasure of meeting Cody and checking out his 389 at the No Coast Truck Show and discovered there is a lot more going on than just the unique color combo!
The LargeCarMag Southern Classic was the last show That I/we would attend or cover this year, and of the show’s that we were able to attend/cover there was one constant, every show was bigger. With that in mind we tried our best to be prepared for a larger turnout for the Southern Classic…

When it came time to order the 2020 Peterbilt 389 you see here Arlyn went straight to Clint Moore at Kansas City Peterbilt. The 389 was ordered with a 318” wheelbase (so the Double Eagle could be moved from his 359 to his 389) an X15 605 hp Cummins, an 18 speed transmission and a car hauler suspension with factory front air ride.
Throughout the 60s and 70s Caterpillar, Cummins, Detroit and Mack supplied the big power engines of the time that fueled the over the road trucks. In 1968 the Allis Chalmers Company from Harvey, Illinois announced it would become a new contender to supply engines for the highway truck market.
Jamie Walker drives this bad ass 2017 W900L glider for MJ Daniels of Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
I caught this lineup of a brand new T600 Aerodyne, an International and 359 peeking in at the TA in Ashland Virginia in the late 80’s.
This month’s Diesel Doodle comes to us from age 12 Carter Stone.
